TV shows with performances from actors that surprised you

TV shows with performances from actors that surprised you Sara Paxton surprised me in the newest season of Based On A True Story I’ve never hated her but never thought much about her; just kind of the go to actress for generic love interests or generic mean girls However she played a mentally disturbed character this season (to go further into detail would be to go into spoilers) and she played it surp…

Captain Planet was so damn lazy!

Captain Planet was so damn lazy! I was watching it this weekend for the first time since I was a kid and didn’t realize how lazy he was! Every episode is basically formatted the same, but the gist is the kids with the rings basically get their asses kicked for the whole episode and then this dopey bastard swoops in at the end to clean it up, then pisses off again. Every time. …

The Outer Limits episode. A guy at work today was talking about some episode of the Outer Limits where there is a tiny civilization that is viewed through a microscope, or something like that. He may have it all wrong. Does that ring any bells with anyone? submitted by /u/Kummakivi

Watching Old X Files and Revival X-Files, makes you realize how lazy modern TV cinematography is

Watching Old X Files and Revival X-Files, makes you realize how lazy modern TV cinematography is A lot of TV nowadays seemed to be color corrected, tweaked in post-production, and shot on set with the simplest lighting set up possible. It’s like the lighting equivalent of Ikea. Of course not every show falls prey to this – and not every show in the past was well lit (far from it!) – but that’s my overriding impression. Perhaps I’m just nost…

How would you rank the adult animation staples of the 90s-00s I’ve been rewatching all of the adult animation staples of my childhood and figured I’d see what ever enjoys the most. The shows are. The simpsons, futurama, king of the hill, family guy , American dad I’ll start. 1: futurama 2: the Simpsons 3: family guy 4: American dad 5: king of the hill Family guy is by far objectively the worst. But it’…

What old scifi tv series am I thinking about?

What old scifi tv series am I thinking about? I want to find this tv-series from somewhere during the 90s, or possibly early 2000s. A kid or small group of kids are transported to a distant future, or another world populated by humans. Technology is strictly taboo; a rule which is strictly enforced by a societal hierarchy. Possibly the very top of the hierarchy have some technology which th…

What tv show is this?

What tv show is this? For some context I am from Australia, I don’t have a lot of details but the main being that there was a game controller and when used it transported these kids to an island, there were pirates and special items I think, one of them being a pair of shoes that let you walk on water, I have no more memories of the show, only that I loved it, I have…

Lioness is the best show on television right now

Lioness is the best show on television right now Every episode this season has been 10/10. Regardless of whether you like Taylor Sheridan’s politics it’s impossible not to acknowledge how much of an absolute hit the show has become. I feel sad for anyone who can watch this, but not enjoy it. This is just hands-down great television. submitted by /u/zechostorm
