My FIL is dead and left behind bonds in an unknown name My husband’s father has been gone for several years and left behind a whole bunch of matured savings bonds. The problem is that several of these bonds were left payable upon death to “Jane Smith” (name changed for privacy) and no one in the family knows Jane Smith and we can’t find her anywhere.
