Capital gains taxes for co-owner? I co-owned a house with my mom in California. Both of us were on the mortgage and title. We got it in September 2019 and we sold it in April 2024. The house was worth 250,000 when we got it. I never made mortgage payments, she did. It was sold for 380,000 to Opendoor.
