How long should I wait into starting new job until getting prequalified for a home loan? Hello! I'm starting a new job soon that pays much higher than my last job. My wife and I are also trying to buy a home in the next 6ish months. Is there a certain amount of time of having this job until I should wait until getting prequalified? Does it matter at all? I have good credit (760) and enough in investments to use on a 10% down payment...
