Is an International Drivers Permit needed to rent a car in New York when I have a UK licence? I am renting a car in the US in April, I have a British drivers licence written in English. The car rental Ts and Cs say an IDP is needed. The car rental website says an IDP is only needed if your licence isn't in English. The New York DMV says an IDP is only needed if your licence isn't in English. Does anyone have any experience? I don't want...
