How to help my dad with credit card debt? My dad is quite old, and he doesn’t have a lot of savings. He has a small pension and 401k that he hasn’t taken out yet. He is currently 5 thousand dollars in credit card debt but only works a minimum wage job a few hours a week. He is relying for the tax refund to pay off his debt but I doubt that would help as much.
