I'm an amateur with a sony a6100 and sigma 16mm f/1.4 shooting mostly pictures of my kid and wondering how to choose aperture? I saw a recommendation that you shouldn't always shoot wide open. as an amateur i've fallen into the trap that bokeh looks amazing and is the most important especially when taking cute pictures of my kid. I usually shoot at 1.4 because i take pictures inside and want to maximize shutter speed and minimize iso. Is there any reason to be shooting ...
