Single mom possibly marrying high earner My partner makes 4x my income. We’ve recently started discussing marriage as a possibility in the future. Looks like I would lose the child tax credit and my kids FAFSA would be affected. Would not be able to contribute to my Roth IRA anymore. Any other financial changes to consider? Seems like it would make more sense to not get legally married...
