401k catchup question
401k catchup question I'm trying to help my mom out as she got her first 401k. She is over 60 so she thought she can contribute the amount+ catch up which was around 30k. She ended up 1000 or so over the normal but never did anything to initiate a catchup. Will that put her over or does the catchup mechanic apply anyways? I'm not familiar with 401ks at all.
