Any 500mm f7.2 sigma apo lens users? I it's ancient but I'm about to buy it for less than the cost of 1 month bus pass with a secondhand warranty. What advice would you give to get decent photos out of this? I'd like to use handheld but guessing a monopod or tripod would be advisable? Mostly birding.
