Where do you absolutely never get ripped off? Follow up to the “biggest rip off” thread. Japan - left a small tip at a restaurant once and the manager chased me down three blocks to return my money. My first time there, I was surprised by how affordable it was. Germany - just honest people, fair prices. Even the cabbies are honest. No tourist tax around major attractions.
