LPT: It's time to get your turkey out of the freezer If you celebrate Thanksgiving in the USA, your 20+ pound turkey will take at least 6 days to thaw in the fridge, so put it in the fridge today. If it's lighter than that, it's not going to hurt anything to put it in there today as it will stay mostly frozen for a few days. Don't get caught Thanksgiving morning with a frozen bird.
