Should I keep my passport on me? I'm going to Chile in about a month to visit some friends. I'm flying into Santiago, then I'll be traveling solo from city to city by bus/train. My flight home is also from Santiago, so I was thinking I could leave my passport at my friend's house and then pick it up on my last day. This way I wouldn't risk losing it or having it stolen.
