LPT: As a general rule, don’t get someone a surprise gift in the hobby they obsess over. Chances are, whatever you think to get them: 1) they already own, 2) don’t own it for a reason, 3) were planning on getting a very specific one.
LPT: As a general rule, don't get someone a surprise gift in the hobby they obsess over. Chances are, whatever you think to get them: 1) they already own, 2) don't own it for a reason, 3) were planning on getting a very specific one. Obviously, there are exceptions to the rule, such as if you already know the exact item listing they were planning on getting and you "intercept" that purchase as a gift (or they straight up ask for it), or if you share the hobby with them and know exactly what item they would want bc you are already an expert, etc.
