check EVERY state individually for unclaimed funds So I have plugged my parents' names in the national unclaimed money site, nada. One day, bored, I went state by state. My dad had $250 in Georgia (orginally from Arkansas, not sure how that worked) and my mother has $4,000 from New York. Beats me how that happened either. So check each state individually not just the national one.
