Traveling to a “Do Not Travel” part of Mexico, any advice is welcome My boyfriend’s family is from Michoacán and I’ll be traveling with him to a wedding this Christmas. I’m doing my research and found that Michoacán is on the “Do Not Travel” list of states due to crime and kidnapping. I will never be alone on this trip but I know I should take my safety seriously.
