I’ve just knocked out the concreted old fireplace out of my second story flat, should I think about getting another modern mantle put in, or just fill it in and plaster over?
I've just knocked out the concreted old fireplace out of my second story flat, should I think about getting another modern mantle put in, or just fill it in and plaster over? So as far as I know I'm not actually able to use the fireplace as an open fire due the building restrictions so it'd have to be an accent piece or artificial fire. What do you guys think, would you block and smooth this whole lot off or put something else in there?
