Medical bill in collections? I have a medical bill that I was waiting to pay until I got a big enough check to actually pay off a huge amount of the debt. When I go on the hospitals website, it says part of your balance is in collections. can I still negotiate down the total bill amount with the hospital or do I have to go through the collections agency now?
