Father in law wants to open a life insurance policy for my newborn, pros and cons? Father in law asked for my newborns ss number, when asked why he wants it, he said he wants to open a life insurance policy for her. I’m not giving her ss to anybody, but what are the pros and cons of having one set up? I’m leaning towards a 529 as a better option - opened by me, the father.
