Apartment was flooded/burnt up, insurance paying out 25k, is there anything smart I can do with it? I lost pretty much everything in an apartment fire or from the resulting flooding from the firefighters. My renter's insurance coverage was set at 25k, and after claiming most of my stuff, I've already hit that, so insurance is just gonna cut me a check for 25k. I obviously have a lot of things that I need to buy, so it needs to remain somewhat...
