In the Caribbean, is it true that the water is calmer on the south sides of the islands that face the gulf? I'm looking for the calmest waters in the Caribbean, and friends are telling me the sides of the islands that face the gulf have calm water because the it's not the full tide of the Atlantic Ocean slamming up against the island.
