hanging a heavy mirror on brick Can a heavy mirror (40 lbs) be hung on a brick wall? It's actually the chimney brick that is exposed in the basement. The house was built in the 1920s. It's the Bay Area so I have concerns about earthquake safety. Can it ever be secure? If yes, does drilling happen in the brick or in the mortar? Thanks!n
