ELI5: why is the bond market “crashing” if the yield is the highest in the last decade?
ELI5: why is the bond market "crashing" if the yield is the highest in the last decade? Can someone explain this to me? Given that the Treasury yield is the highest it's been in awhile, shouldn't now be a great time to put some of my portfolio into the bond market like Treasury bills/notes? Why are all the news articles say the bond market is crashing and that it's not a good sign? Thank you!
