Laid off and still need to secure a new apartment. What are my options? American here. I just got laid off yesterday and I need to leave my lease in about a month. Problem is I don't have an apartment secured so if I apply anywhere I have no proof of income. I could collect unemployment but I suppose most landlords won't really count that.
