Hallstatt, Austria is beautiful, but overrated My wife and I visited Hallstatt in September. We stayed in another Alpine village, Abersee, because there were no accommodation with parking in Hallstatt for the reasonable price. While Hallstatt is a really beautiful, it's no more beautiful than many other places (my favorites were St Wolfgang and St Gilgen located on the Wolfgansee lake nearby...
