Is it worth getting a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM lense for a Canon T5? I am mostly doing portraits of the family, dog pics, just life pics mostly. I think I read somewhere that this won’t be a 50mm on a T5 but an 80mm? And that it might not work well then for close quarters. Not even sure if that’s true or not. Very amateur here.
