Is “splurging” on higher end, buy once lifetime such as Briggs & Riley worth the BIFL “investment” versus something compared to travel pro?

Is "splurging" on higher end, buy once lifetime such as Briggs & Riley worth the BIFL "investment" versus something compared to travel pro? I fly anywhere from 3 - 20 times a year, debating on if I spend $700 for a nice Briggs & Riley carry on which has a life time warranty and I may never need another carry on in my life, or spend $150 for a travel pro carry on which is close to being as durable but only $150 but no warranty.
