Stock moved from foreign to US brokerage: short-term or long-term? Hello -- I recently was able to transfer a number of shares in a company from a UK brokerage to a US one, where I now live. If I were to sell it now, would the gains be long or short term? I have owned it for quite a while but only a few weeks in the US, and the Schwab account itself describes it as short term. Thanks!
