LPT in the USA: If you call your car insurance company and tell them that you can't afford them, you can possibly get a discount. I called my car insurance company the other day, because this is America 2024 and I need to save every penny that I can. I told them that I couldn't afford them anymore, and needed to cancel for someone else or get a discount. I got a $20 a month discount on my policy for the same coverage, and was off of the phone in about 10 minutes. Not a hug...
