I am 40 with only $20,000 in my retirement account. I don't have the ability to contribute more right now. Am I screwed? I started saving for retirement at 35 years old. My employer doesn't have any contribution options. I've only managed to put away about 20k. I'm really nervous about this. Several of my friends already have between $700,000-$900,000.
