Do i need to keep my 50mm 1.8 prime lens if i am about to purchase a 24-70mm lens? hello i have a question. I just recently purchased a 50mm 1.8 lens for my camera. I am looking to pull the plug on a 24-70 zoom lens. Since there is a 50mm option on the zoom lens do I need to keep the prime 50mm lens? i know they say prime lenses are sharper but i am new to photography and was wanting some help with this issue.
