LPT: Wear swim goggles when cutting onions I've tried all onion crying prevention tips, including running the knife under water, running the cut onion under water, keeping a salt cellar open next to your cutting board, etc. The only thing that has ever worked is swim goggles, to keep a sealed layer between your eyes and the evil tear-causing onion chemicals!
