Watching Old X Files and Revival X-Files, makes you realize how lazy modern TV cinematography is A lot of TV nowadays seemed to be color corrected, tweaked in post-production, and shot on set with the simplest lighting set up possible. It's like the lighting equivalent of Ikea. Of course not every show falls prey to this - and not every show in the past was well lit (far from it!) - but that's my overriding impression. Perhaps I'm just nost...
