If necessary to use a third-party for foreign hotel booking, which is best? Or to be avoided? Yes, I know directly booking with the hotel is preferable, whenever possible. I do this, even when the price is alightly higher because it is advantageous, in my experience. However, I'm looking at hotels in Bangkok on Google Travel, and many of them don't have direct links. If I search for direct hotel links, I fear diversionary scams -- cloned...
