Using a larger filter size vnd to avoid X patterns, how big to go? So I want to buy a vnd for the sigma 18-50mm f2.8 which has a filter thread of 55mm, I've read that you can get a step up ring to then mount a vnd meant for larger filter threads onto the original, in this case 55mm to avoid the X patterns you get with wider angle lenses. How big do you need to go? I have some other lenses that are 67mm in filt...
