Opportunity cost on college fund and donor advised funds to reduce taxable income I got into 37% for first time due to lot of stock sales. I am looking at reducing my taxable income and going down a bracket. For that I am thinking of putting $100k on donor advised funds to get deduction on charity. Also looking at $20k on college funds. Are there any opportunity cost risks I should consider before I make this choice?
