I've been reading that I need not rush to get COBRA if I'm in between jobs for about 1 to 1.5 months - are there any downsides to this? My last day of employment was October 16th. I will be starting a new role prior to December 1st. My former employer told me that the last day of medical insurance coverage is October 31st. I haven't yet received any communication from COBRA about signing up, and my former employer hasn't given me enough information about how to sign up either. ...
