Paypal converting FX transaction amount even though I chose to pay in foreign currency My bank is CAD. Was paying for Europe travel - accommodations, train tickets, etc. - which were all in EURO currency. I paid with my credit card via Paypal. For every transaction, at the checkout I 100% make sure to select EURO (not CAD) so that Paypal would not do any conversion for me. By selecting EURO, Paypal is supposed to charge the EURO ...
