Vintage lens on crop - not sharp, what can I do? So I have a Helios 44 58/2 and Jupiter-8 50/2, the latter just looks so good and is a joy to use. Both are popular because of their distinct look. I know for a fact that these two lenses ARE sharp, I've checked them on FF Sony and a film body (even the film scans are sharp). I've cleaned them, there's no dust whatsoever, I've stopped down to f/8...
