Me (U.S. Citizen) and my spouse (U.S. permanent resident with Chinese passport) looking to travel to Japan later this year and need to apply for a short-term tourism Visa for her. Anyone have experience with this? Looking at the requirements and it's quite long and confusing. We live in Chicago and the main Embassy of Japan site is specific to the Washington DC area. The Chicago site is poorly designed and I can't find any information about the Visa process. Bank Statement: We are not wealthy by any means, but live pretty comfortably, both work full-time ...
