LPT If your home smells (due to cooking or any other reason), toast a loaf of bread to near burning. The entire home will smell like baked bread and the bad smell will be covered by it.

Ventilation of course is probably best, but this is especially good to use during the winter when you can't open windows to let fresh air in.
