Is putting everything in a SP500 index fund considered "diversified"? I know SP500 index funds is generally considered as being diversified since it covers so many companies but is keeping all your investments in an SP500 index fund considered as being diversified? I'm 40-years-old and I have about $1.1M in investments and it's 90% in VTSAX (SP500 index funds) and 10% VTIAX (International index fund):
