In this car market (prices + interest rates) is the 20/4/10 rule not applicable, and I am a cheap B? To keep this brief: My wife and I want a newer car, which is fair I think. We road-trip a lot and camp a lot and our current car is a 2015 Forester. It only has 113,000 miles on it... but its transmission has failed twice catastrophically under warranty and its a minimum $8,000 job from what I can tell (maybe I'm wrong on this).
