Sell house at a loss for pay raise in other area? Need opinions or personal experiences... Recently was offered job paying 10k more a year in a LCOL area. I currently make about 60k in a HCOL area. I like the area that I'd be moving to, but know literally no one. To move, I'd have to sell my house at a 15k-20k loss. My question is, would it financially make sense to move for a pay raise?
