Do you think that food that isn’t around tourist areas is so exceptional it’s worth a trip?
Do you think that food that isn't around tourist areas is so exceptional it's worth a trip? Often times I hear/read advice to eat somewhere that's not in the main tourist areas of a place to really get a good food experience. Do you find that to be true? Maybe it's the cynic in me but I can't help but feel that it's sort of gatekeepy. Like in a "You didn't really have that food because you got it in the tourist areas" sort of way.
