Donating for tax write-offs, am I missing something? I'm sure everyone has heard the idea of people and companies making donations to save money on their taxes. I know you end up with a lower tax burden afterwards. For example you owe $2000 and decide to donate $10000, if your tax rate is 20% for that $10000, you now owe nothing.
