Taking gains from Roth - Can I withdraw up to total cash contributions for the entire acct and avoid penalties/taxes? I've made a good chunk of cash from NVDA. I'm a bit lost on withdrawing contributions tax and penalty free in a Roth. These are all long-term gains I would be withdrawing. Can I take NVDA gains out up to my total cash amount of contributions for the entire Roth, or can I only withdraw the cash amount of NVDA stock I've bought? Also, I'm nowhere ...
