How do you get clients for a particular industry when you don’t have a portfolio showcasing those types of projects?
How do you get clients for a particular industry when you don't have a portfolio showcasing those types of projects? In the past I've done studio work (portraits, product photography, etc). In my current area there's a lot of work with hotels, weddings, and restaurants which I've never done. What's a good strategy to get these types of projects? Build a portfolio doing shoots for free?
