LPT If you need brown sugar but find yourself out, add a tablespoon of molasses per cup of white sugar. Molasses lasts a long time. Keep a jar, it's useful for more than just brown sugar. Ever bake and find yourself short of brown sugar? Fear not, granulated sugar will do fine. Add one tablespoon of molasses per cup to the sugar and mix well. You have made brown sugar.
