Flight price doubles when switching direction I'm in NYC and was checking flight prices for a friend in Scotland who wants to visit in September. Delta has a nonstop EDI-JFK flight that was about $400 round trip. I was shocked at how cheap it was and just on a whim switched the direction to start from JFK.
